We want to take a moment to brag on one of the members of the Crowfall® team, Lead Concept Artist Dave Greco. Dave was one of 270 artists whose work was selected to appear in the 25th edition of Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art. Spectrum is one of the world’s most prestigious publications in the world of fantasy, horror, science fiction, and surreal modern art.

“Being accepted into Spectrum has been a dream of mine since I started my career in illustration,” Greco enthused. “Seeing my work on a page next to artists that have inspired me over my lifetime is something that's hard to explain. It's a total rush.”

Spectrum 25 is set to be released on Saturday, November 17, and is available now for preorder.

The piece featured in Spectrum 25 will be familiar to Crowfall followers: a High-Elf witch-wife inspired by one of our oldest pieces of lore: https://crowfall.com/en/races/high-elves/

Crowfall HighElfAssassinFemale

As originally described, this character was intended to be a Frostweaver – but, as often happens in artistic exploration, the process of conjuring her from the shadows transformed her into a deadly assassin. The resulting juxtaposition of luminescence and darkness gives her a dark and dangerous beauty.

As our creative director, J. Todd Coleman, explains, “The world is finally recognizing what our team has known for some time: Dave is a unique, world-class talent. From the beginning, his style has shaped the vision of Crowfall... seeing this world through his eyes has inspired us to bring this universe to life.”

In addition to celebrating being featured in Spectrum 25, Dave is also celebrating the one-year anniversary of streaming (and first 10,000 followers!) on Twitch by live streaming today from 9:30 am until 4 pm Central on his personal channel, which you can view by clicking here.

During the stream, Dave will be giving away three signed copies of Spectrum 25 hard back annual as well as a Hulon H610 Pro V2 tablet! Tune in to watch art magically flow from his fingers and the chance to win one of these fabulous prizes.

If you’d like to see more of Dave’s art, you can follow him on Instagram, Twitter, and ArtStation. We also invite you to chat with Dave on our forum. He’s always happy to answer questions about his work, to offer art career advice and even to do portfolio reviews.

Congratulations, Dave! We’re so proud to have you on our team!
