Battlements allow you to take your Keep and Castle walls to new heights. Not only do they provide an aesthetic addition to your stronghold, but the windowed walls act as functional fortifications as well. You will be able to stack battlements on top of both regular stone walls and gatehouses alike for a wider range of customization options.

Speaking of gatehouses, there are a couple of changes coming that will make building with them even better. Gatehouses will be broken up into modular pieces. At the most basic level, this will include a center section that houses the gate (houses the gate! get it??) and a pair of wedge-shaped wings that can be used with or without the main module.

The deeper we dig into Eternal Kingdom construction and the quest for Castle customization, the more modular this feature becomes. We want to deliver the maximum amount of options with the minimum number of assets and deeds. This way, we save you inventory space and save ourselves some overhead (or more like over-headache amirite?)! With all that being said (brace yourselves): MEGA DEEDS are coming!

Mega deeds will totally change the Eternal Kingdom creation game. The condensed description of a mega deed is that it’s a collection of deeds within a deed. For example, let’s say you’re building with 1x1 stone wall pieces. With the correct deed, you can place a 1x1 stone wall OR a 1x1 sloped stone wall or even a 1x1 half-sloped wall! Multiple options but one deed to rule them all!

But wait, there’s more! We’re taking the customization of fortifications even further with PANELS. Now, instead of delivering a handful of different deeds tied to different appearances of walls, gatehouses and towers, panels will allow you to take a wall, gatehouse, tower or battlement and alter it for any aesthetic or practical purpose.

The deed’s quality level is what will determine the number of aesthetic options available. A white quality item will only have the basic options, but a green quality item will have more (and fancier) aesthetics to choose from. Going from a simple stone wall to a stone wall with wooden battlement accents is achieved by crafting (or purchasing) a higher quality wall deed. Want to change your style? Even after the item is placed, you can pick it up and cycle through the different variations. Placing an item will also allow you to choose functional differences; go from a solid wall to a wall with windows or doors without crafting a whole new deed!

Between mega deeds and panels, we want you to be able to create a Castle that is unique. With all of the alterations available for your placeable assets, we realize that building your dream stronghold will take time and effort. We want to make this effort even easier, so please stay tuned for more information about our future features!

In the meantime, let us know what you think in the discussion thread.
