  1. What is two factor authentication?

    Two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA) technology provides additional account security by requiring the use of two access components for an account, similar to the way an ATM machine requires the use of a bank card and a PIN.

  2. Do I have to use 2FA for my Crowfall account?

    Although ArtCraft does not require all users to activate 2FA, it is necessary when gifting or receiving Crowfall items for both the giver and recipient must have 2FA enabled.

  3. How do I set up 2FA?

    To set up 2FA, follow these steps:

    1. Select and install one of these applications (or one of your own choosing) for your operating system, following the developer’s instructions.
    2. Next, go to http://www.crowfall.com/. Select “Login” from the navigation bar at the top of the page. Enter your username and password in the fields provided (or create an account if you don’t have one).
    3. When you have logged in successfully, you will be presented with a list of navigation choices. Select “Modifying your account details” (second from the top on the list) and the Account Details page will open.
    4. Select “Security” (second from the top on the list) from the navigation menu provided to open the “2 Factor Authentication (2FA) Setup” page. Follow the instructions to activate 2FA.
    5. Test your setup either by entering the code provided on the webpage or by scanning the QR code with your mobile device. Note that you will need to select “Time based” rather than “Counter based” if you are entering the code manually. Click the red “Confirm” button.
  4. Will I have to continue using 2FA for every login?

    Yes. Once the setup is completed successfully, an authenticator code will be required for every login

  5. How do I deactivate 2FA?

    In order to deactivate 2FA from your account, click Security from the Account page menu and click "Remove 2FA". If you need further assistance, please contact support@crowfall.com.
